STIIX Virtual Conference Series 2025

STI rates in the US continue to cause significant concern. Amid growing need and tightening budgets, improving access to sexual health services remains a major challenge.

Building on our summer series, this new series focused on one innovative approach that is having a significant impact on public health in other parts of the world: at-home STI testing focusing on HIV, STIs and viral hepatitis.

This four-part series looked at home testing / home self-collection in detail, and how we can enhance and tackle STI rates with constrained public health budgets. If you missed the sessions, you can view three of the videos by submitting your contact details here.

Below are the sessions we held throughout the series:

We were delighted to have the following speakers across this series:

STIIX Virtual Conference Series 2024

preventx_blue_logo.png

The STIIX Virtual Conference Series 2024 brought together our network of leading consultants, clinicians and academics to address the pressing issues in sexual health and HIV.

Our theme was: Addressing inequalities in sexual health and HIV. STI rates in the US continue to cause significant concern, and improving access to sexual health services for everyone is vital. But despite progress being made, barriers to uptake including socioeconomic disparities, stigma and discrimination put our efforts at risk.

About us

The STI International Exchange (STIIX) is a not-for-profit group designed to advance thinking in sexual health testing and treatment through international collaboration and problem-solving.

STIIX takes a close-knit, problem-solving approach to solving real world problems related to sexual health. While there are international forums to present research and findings to a large group, this practical approach sets STIIX apart.

The group meets monthly on a virtual basis, and we held our first ‘in-person’ conference in London on 26 & 27 October 2022.

Our members come from senior-level government, public health, laboratory (public and private) and non-profits, and have a direct influence over STI testing and treatment with the common goal of making these accessible to a wider-number of people, across the globe.
